History of Lamborghini
Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A., is the name of the Lamborghini brand, with its head office and manufacturing facility located at Sant’Agata Bolognese, near Bologna. As an Italian luxury sports car manufacturer, Lamborghini currently belongs to German car manufacturer Volkswagen. The company was founded in 1963 by Italian businessman Ferruccio Lamborghini.
During World War II, Ferrucio Lamborghini was an engineer for the Italian Air Force, specializing in engines. With the end of the war, the demand for tractors in Italy increased. Taking the opportunity, Ferruccio Lamborghini bought the army’s spare machinery and converted it into plows and tractors. Thanks to that, the business of Lamborghini grows.
